I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited for Summer!
I love it when it starts to get warmer, and everything just seems a bit brighter when you can head out to the pub garden after work, or get a bit of sun on the weekends.
During the Summer months, I love to shave my legs- and that’s my choice! So when Estrid contacted me and asked if I’d like to try one of their razors, the answer was a no-brainer.

Who are Estrid?
Estrid are a vegan-friendly razor company who specialise in creating ethical razors that people love to use.
They have a fantastic ethos, using their brand to promote the idea that it’s okay to be hairy- and it’s okay to be smooth too. Shaving should always be a choice. Whether you want to shave or not, that’s absolutely fine.
I love their body positive mantra, and they recently featured one of my favourite skin/body positive Instagram influencers on their account.
From encouraging confidence for all body sizes, to showing that it’s okay to be hairy or smooth, I’ve admired their social media channels for a while.
All of their packaging also promotes body positivity and confidence- and it’s also completely recyclable (and gorgeous too).
Getting ready for summer with Estrid
I’m ashamed to say that I normally just buy cheap, plastic razors from Boots.
There’s nothing wrong with the razors I’ve used, but they don’t last very long- and they definitely don’t always give me a clean shave without any cuts.
I absolutely loved using my Estrid razor. I’m going to use this razor to stay on top of shaving while I wear short dresses and shorts in the Summer months.
My start kit came with a metal razor (fit with a blade all ready to go), an extra blade, a holder for my shower and some cute body positive stickers that I’m going to put on one of my notebooks!
This razor was amazing to use- and now that I know what I’ve been missing I’m never going back!
Unlike disposable plastic razors that I’ve used in the past, this razor moved with me. It moved around the contours of my leg as I shaved, and I didn’t cut myself once.
This razor felt smooth against my skin, and it gave me a really clean shave. Normally I have to go over my leg a couple of times to get all the hairs, but this razor got them all the first time over.
I’ve not tried the razor under my arms yet, but I think the way it bends will help with those tricky corners where I normally cut myself by accident.
As well as getting my legs out during Summer, I also regularly go swimming- and I love to stay on top of shaving when I can. I love the Estrid branding, and I love the message that it’s okay whether I shave or not.
I also love the Estrid subscription model. You can choose how often you need the blades, so I now receive a few every 4 months. This definitely works out much cheaper than buying a disposable razor each time!
I would really recommend Estrid razors if you’re looking for a long-lasting razor with fantastic values behind it. It comes in adorable packaging and everything in the start kit is vegan.
I agree with Estrid- all bodies are beautiful and they should be celebrated!

I like the messaging behind this brand; it’s always good to feel supported or celebrated with our buying power, etc. I will have to check them out (although I barely show any skin during the Summer because I burn so quick so nobody is going to know if I’m a sasquatch, hahaha)!

I’ve heard amazing things about this brand, I’m defiantly thinking I may have to give it a go. I find the cheap razors I buy from my local supermarket just don’t give me the shave I want and I find I cut myself a lot so Estrid razors do sound very good! I use an Estrid razor and I absolutely love it! I have it set up where I get the new razor blades every 3 months and it is really nice because I don’t have to worry about running out of replacements.

I’ve heard SO many good things about Estrid and your experience is no exception. I use an epilator on my legs though so it’s only my armpits that need a quick daily swipe! Lovely review, Eleanor, thank you 🙂 x

I absolutely love my Estrid razor. I was the same as you & I only ever bought cheap ones from boots or the supermarket. Since trying Estrid it really makes you realise just how cheap they were. Haha. I love the weight of the razors especially.
