I would love to go to London again one day, and there are so many attractions, restaurants and places I would love to visit.
I’ve been to London a couple of times, but I’ve never had chance to explore the city and act like a proper tourist!
I have a few friends who live in the city, and I’ve heard about so many fantastic places to enjoy a night out with friends, visit on a solo trip or enjoy a romantic date.
At the end of this year, I’d like to get down to London with my partner- and there are so many cute places we could enjoy a romantic date for two.
In this blog post, I’ve come up with 4 places that are high on my London to-do list. I’d love all your recommendations!
1. Buckingham Palace
It might not be the most romantic place for a date, but I would love to visit Buckingham Palace one day.
Despite being a history nerd, I’ve never been to any of the big historic sites in London- and that’s something I’d like to change.

Buckingham Palace is steeped in English history, and it sounds like a great place for a day trip and a few classic tourist pictures.
2. Bletchley Park
This is another historical site I would love to visit one day, and it’s perfect for a bit of Buckingham dating!
Just outside London, the beautiful Bletchley Park was home to important World War Two code breakers, and I would love to see how this amazing place has been preserved as a historic attraction all these years later.
This is a great place to learn a bit about modern history, and if you and your partner are history fans this is the perfect choice for Buckingham dating ideas.
3. Sky Garden
I love the sound of Sky Garden for a romantic drink or two. My friend told me about this place, which looks over London and is decorated with gorgeous plants and shrubbery.

I think this would make the perfect place for a romantic date during the day for a coffee, or a date night out for a few cocktails.
4. Hyde Park
I love going for a walk in Sheffield’s vibrant parks, and Hyde Park looks like a gorgeous location for a walk and maybe a cute little picnic if the weather is nice.
London has lots of beautiful parks to explore, and I would love to spend a bit of time walking around and enjoying what London has to offer.
What’s on your London to-do list? Where is your favourite place in London? Do you have any suggestions for where to visit in London?
Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below 🙂

Wow, I love the look of the Sky Garden. That looks awesome. London is so fab. I love history too and I absolutely love The Tower of London. It’s such a brilliant place to visit and you could easily spend half a day there. The British Museum is also fab and completely free!

I’ve been to the Sky Garden, it’s a pretty nice place with some fantastic views, accept when we went it was still the winter, cold, and grey outside, which restricted the beautiful views a bit

Ah that’s a shame, I’ll have to remember that if I end up going in winter x

Hyde Park is lovely, and with a visit to Buckingham Palace you can easily fit in Green Park and St. James’ too (hire a Santander Cycle to get around quicker). Hope you manage to get to all these places.

The Sky Garden is the one place I always take friends who are visiting me in the city if it’s their first time. Why would you wanna pay to go to The Shard when you can go to this one for free and also have a great view OF The Shard? It’s a really great place to grab a coffee and cake too 🙂

That’s always the case when you live somewhere, sometimes tourists end up seeing more stuff than locals- that was certainly the case when I lived in York! Thank you 🙂

Aw I was meant to go to London in June 2020. Had it all booked, including some West End shows and was going to meet my friend there. One of the things she suggested we do was see the Sky Garden! It looks so lovely! I was so sad when I had to cancel but it’s on the cards for next summer (all going well). Thanks for these great recommendations!
