Your home office is an important place. It’s where you work, write, create and push yourself to achieve your best.
Whether you work from home or you’re a freelancer, it’s important to feel comfortable and happy in your office space. You’ll be spending a lot of time in your office – so it needs to be somewhere you want to go everyday.
Although your home office is where you’ll do the majority of your work, you also need to feel happy and inspired when you sit there. There’s no point in making it boring and clinical if it doesn’t encourage you to produce your best results!
From paint colours to cute accessories, there are a few ways to add a fun unique touch to your office, individualising this space in your home.
In this blog post, I’ve put together 3 tips to add a unique touch to your home office!
1. Choose the right colours
First things first, it’s important to choose the right colours for your home office. You might want to choose a simple base paint colour for your walls, or you might want to get creative with your colour palette. It’s completely up to you!
It’s a good idea to think about what kind of vibe you want for your productive home office. Do you want bright colours that put you in a good mood? Do you want something simple that doesn’t distract you? Do you want to invest in a few different paint colours to create cool patterns?
Your home office is unique to you – so make sure to choose paint colours that suit your individual style.
2. Get artwork that suits your style
I mentioned artwork in my blog post about setting up a productive home office – and I think it’s such an important way to add a unique touch to your home office. You can really express your individuality with the posters and decorations you choose.
Put up a few motivational quotes or images of faraway places so that you can push yourself to work when you need it, or daydream about your time off.
3. Accessorise!
Accessories are a great chance to add a unique touch to your home office. You could choose a few cool lamps, decorate with plants, add a couple of cute coasters, invest in some funky stationery or buy a stress ball.
All of these little things can help you express your creativity and individual tastes – and you’ll feel happy to spend time in your workspace everyday.
How have you decorated your home office? Do you have any ideas to add a unique touch to your office? Do you use your own home office?

We put a little basket next to the desk for the cat on to encourage him to come and sit while we work. Artwork, as you say, is good – change it every now and then for a mental freshen up.

I have a nice little space to blog in and it always makes me feel so happy to be there getting creative. I think I need to add a few things (maybe some more pictures or accessories) to make it a bit more unique as I love that idea!

Wall colour makes such a huge difference. Every comments on our green wall. And I absolutely love it. But it was a gamble adding a darker colour to the living room.
