4 Festive Post Ideas for Bloggers

I’m not usually one for writing festive blog posts- but after reading various Blogmas posts and lots of festive content in the past few weeks, I’ve been getting in the festive spirit!

So I thought today I would come up with 4 festive post ideas for bloggers who want to write Christmas content content in the next few weeks.

I think all of these ideas are perfect if you love creating regular festive content around this time of year, and I’d love to hear all your festive content ideas for the next few weeks!

Gift Guides

I’ve seen a lot of gift guides in the past few weeks, and I think this is a lovely idea for other bloggers and shoppers to find the perfect gift for their husband, mother, or best friend.

I also love reading other bloggers’ recommendations, and I think in the run up to Christmas I need all the inspiration I can get.

I also love reading product recommendations for bloggers, and they give me ideas for my own Christmas list!

Tips for Christmas Day

Everyone has their own tips for the big day- and everyone has their own traditions when it comes to Christmas!

I think posts about tips and tricks for the big day are fantastic- whether it’s how to make it through family visits, where best to spend your day, or even how to cook your turkey to perfection- it’s great to read Christmas ideas by other bloggers online.

If you decide to write a post about your own Christmas tips, let me know and I’m sure I’ll be able learn a little something from you!

An Account of Christmas Past

More than anything I love hearing about other people’s experiences of Christmas! Everyone has their own experience of Christmas- and almost everyone has an embarrassing, funny, or romantic Christmas story from the past. With families getting together and loved ones uniting over the Christmas period, I think this is the perfect time to recount stories from Christmas past.

I think writing a funny or relatable account of one of your Christmas events is a fantastic festive post idea, and I love checking out everyone’s festive stories.

Christmas Recipes

I love finding new recipes online, especially when it comes to Christmas baking, or tips for the big Christmas lunch. As someone who doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I’ve loved hearing about big Thanksgiving meals in the past few weeks- and so in the run up to Christmas I think this is the perfect post idea.

Everyone has their favourite Christmas recipe or bake that they’d love to share with readers, and so this is the perfect post for your readers to enjoy and also for you to provide some festive content.

  1. This is our first year blogging at Christmas so it was an interesting discussion about what to post. I totally respect everyone who is doing blogmas because that’s a huge task and a lot of work! I love the idea of sharing Christmas day tips or sharing about past Christmases. It’s so fun to learn about how different families celebrate the season 🙂

  2. There are so many Christmas themed blog posts out there at the moment that I’m actually feeling super festive and excited for it all this year. My favourite posts are the ones about the best movies to watch as they often remind me of things I love or new films to catch!

  4. You have some great ideas here. I love reading through all the different gift guides that are out there. I have been inspired in shopping for so many people over the last couple of years by reading them regularly. It’s fun to see what unique items people are sharing that I may not have otherwise discovered.

  5. I have to admit, much as I enjoy reading other bloggers’ festive content (hello, Blogmas!) I don’t enjoy writing my own festive content so don’t tend to bother. But you’ve got some great ideas here so who knows, maybe next year will be the year for me! 🙂

  6. I’ve written a gift guide this year, but I’ve never written any of those other types of post. I also love reading about other people’s Christmasses! It’s so interesting to see what different traditions people have xx

  7. Hey Eleanor, I would love to read blog posts based on these ideas too! Even though I am not very big on Christmas, I still love listening to my Christmas playlist, Christmas shopping, among other things. Thanks for helping other bloggers figure out what to write this festive season! I’m looking forward to reading more blogmas content in the weeks to come. 🙂
