Just because the weather may not be the warmest in Autumn, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a bit of time outside with your friends and family!
We sometimes get a few nice days in Autumn – and there’s nothing quite like enjoying a bit of surprise Autumn sun in the garden.
Adding cool garden accessories to your outdoor space is a great way to make the most of your garden, even in Autumn. You can plant flowers that will add a pop of colour to your space or decorate your home with lights to enjoy time outside for just a little bit longer.
In this blog post, I’ve put together 5 accessories for your garden this Autumn
1. Wildlife accessories
Wildlife accessories are a great way to add a bit of life to your garden in Autumn. It goes without saying that planting a diverse range of plants and flowers can attract bees, bugs and other animals to your garden – but why not invest in a few unique wildlife ideas, too?
You could add a birdbath to your garden or create a cute birdfeeder in Autumn. During the Autumn and Winter months, birds and squirrels need extra help finding food – so this could be the perfect time to bring nature to your garden and help the planet, too.
2. Outdoor furniture
This Autumn, why not get a few new pieces of outdoor furniture for your garden? You may think that Summer is the only time to enjoy your garden – but that’s just not true!
You could get a small marquee for entertaining guests during the cooler months or even try out an outdoor heater.

There are lots of celebrations coming up in Autumn, such as Bonfire Night and Halloween. You could host an outdoor Bonfire Night party for your friends or relax in the sun on your new deck chairs.
Getting outdoor furniture will help you use your garden year-round and keep it looking great!
3. Autumn decorations
Autumn is the perfect time to get a few decorations for your garden. You could buy or grow some pumpkins, ready for Halloween, or simply plant Autumn-friendly orange or yellow flowers to celebrate the new season.
I love looking at American gardens online during the Thanksgiving season – and there are some really cool garden ornaments and decorations at this time of the year.
There are lots of annual flowers, such as echinaceas, asters and forget-me-nots. Plant these flowers in your garden to add a pop of bright colour during the Autumn months.
4. Hammocks
A hammock is the perfect garden accessory, helping you make your outdoor space your own for the new season.
Tropilex hammocks are made from top-quality materials, including a range of colours and designs for any Autumn outdoor decor ideas. The company even gives back to the environment, with 1% of annual sales going to environmental charities.

From single hammocks to family hammocks, these unique pieces of garden furniture are pretty, cosy and convenient, letting you set up a comfortable reading or resting space in your garden.
Even in England, we still get sunny Autumn days, especially in September. A hammock can help you make the most of the sun, or you can bundle up in your layers and enjoy a good book.
5. Outdoor lighting
There’s nothing quite like a bit of outdoor lighting to make your garden look cute and cosy in Autumn – and there are lots of different lighting options. You could choose globe or sphere lights, or hang adorable lanterns in your outdoor space to romanticise your Autumn.

Power your lights with solar or batteries to add a bit of ambience to your garden as the days get darker. These garden lights are great if you’re hosting an Autumn party, or you can simply use them to make your outdoor living space your own for the new season.
How do you decorate your garden for Autumn? Do you have any Autumn garden decor ideas? What’s your favourite seasonal outdoor accessory?

We have a lovely garden overlooking a field now so I’d love to get some nice furniture and we’re hoping to get a fire pit type thing as well so we can sit outside in the Autumn!
