3 Features of My Dream Home

AD- This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I recently moved out of my parents home, into my first flat with my partner.

Moving into my own place has got me thinking about my dream home and what it means to me.

I think we all have a few features of our dream home in mind, whether that’s realistic home improvements or idealistic, imaginative features at the top of our wish-list!

In this post, I’ve put together 3 features of my dream home, including home improvements and imaginative ideas for my dream home of the future.

1. Big bathroom

I love the bathroom in my current flat as it has a lovely big bath and a great shower.

My dream house would have a bathroom with plenty of room for a luxurious bath, and the perfect shower.

I’m passionate about skincare, so I love to have lots of space for all of my make-up and skincare products.

My dream bathroom would have plenty of shelves and cupboards to keep my many products safe.

I’d also love a towel rack that warms your towel or pyjamas while you use the shower, and a warm cupboard to keep clothes and towels toasty.

2. Double-glazing

One of my dream home improvements would be double-glazing for all the windows.

I can’t stand draughts, and double-glazing is one of the best ways to avoid huge heating bills.

I want my dream home to always feel warm and welcoming, a haven away from the outdoor world- especially during the cold winter months.

3. Beautiful garden

My dream home would have a lovely garden. It doesn’t even need to be that big, I just love to have a nice, quiet place to chill when the sun is shining.

When I lived with my parents, I used to love reading in the garden and enjoying the warm weather.

During lockdown, a garden is also a great place to host friends and family without breaking the rules or risking illness.

I love the idea of lots of flowers and beautiful plants- but I think in reality just grass would be easier!

I don’t currently have a garden, and my dream home would include a cute little place to enjoy warm weather.

Have you ever thought about your dream home? What are the features of your dream home? What are your dream home improvements?

Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below 🙂

Happy reading x

  1. My dream home would be back in the UK with a large modern/farmhouse kitchen, a classic English garden, three bedrooms for friends/family to come over and stay and a renovated basement for my husband to display all his collectables. I love the idea of having a space that can be a place people gather and can relax and be well fed, haha! I love your ideas and I am all for manifesting our dreams like this!

  2. Double glazing is a MUST! For me, personally, I would love a loft conversion, paved yard with no grass to maintain and a sunroom/conservatory to enjoy the good weather in. Other than that, I’m good with what I have currently. One can dream!

  4. My husband and I have been mentally constructing dream homes since before we got married. one thing we both agree on is that we want a screened-in back porch with lighting, a fan, outdoor carpet, and outlets. Perfect for studying, girls’ night in summertime, or playing D&D out-of-doors. The screens and fan are important for our south-eastern US climate. And, of course, having it covered means I can sit outside and listen to the rain while blogging or writing stories without fear that my tablet will get wet!
