Spring is one of my favourite seasons – I always look forward to those quintessential Spring activities like going for a blossom walk or visiting my local pub garden.
After what always feels like a long Winter, it’s refreshing to see the flowers popping up, the lighter evenings and the long Bank Holiday weekends.
So, let’s take a look at 7 things for your Spring bucket list. Here are some great activities to tick off before we get to Summer!
Your Spring bucket list: 7 things to do before Summer
Let’s take a look at 7 things to do before Summer. Make the most of lighter evenings, clement days and that fresh Spring feeling!
1. Go for a long blossom walk
Spring is the perfect time for a blossom walk. You could carve out a route to see the best blossom in your local area or take cute photos with friends and family.

If you’ve missed out on the blossom this year, that’s okay! Spring is still a great time to explore local woodlands. Look for bluebells, spot new flowers and go on a nature trail.
You could even check out a National Trust property for a glorious wholesome Spring weekend with your family.
2. Visit your local farm
Visit your local farm to check out all the baby animals! This is the perfect Spring activity for families.
You can feed the animals, explore the local countryside and get a bit of fresh air. I love heading out into nature when I’m feeling stressed or I need a bit of perspective.
If you can’t get to a farm, why not visit your local farmer’s market? You can pick up artisan food and drink – and enjoy everything the new season has to offer!
3. Attend a flower show
In Spring, we see gardens finally start to burst with colour! So, why not add attending a flower show to your Spring bucket list this year?
Here are a few UK flower shows to check out in Spring:
- RHS Malvern Spring Festival – 8 to 11 May 2025
- RHS Chelsea Flower Show – 20 to 24 May 2025
- Blenheim Palace Flower Show – 27 to 29 June 2025
Explore a flower show with friends or family to take in all the sights and smells of Spring.
4. Visit a butterfly farm
Visiting a butterfly farm is a great way to enjoy a bit of Springtime wildlife and learn all about nature conservation as we get into Summer.

This is a great thing to do with kids in Spring. Farms like Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm have beautiful tropical spaces to explore, with waterfalls, fish ponds and plenty of events or activities for families.

5. Move somewhere new
Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your routine. You can clear out your wardrobe, explore an unfamiliar city or even move somewhere new!
There are plenty of new-build homes across the UK, with affordable options for people looking to experience a new way of life.
I love trying out different things, such as going for a microadventure to nearby villages, booking a holiday or ticking a restaurant off my bucket list.
6. Go for a Bank Holiday roast dinner and pub trip
There’s nothing quite like a roast dinner and pub trip on a crisp Spring day. You can escape from the April showers or relax in a pub garden if the sun is shining.

I never really fancy a hot roast dinner during the warm Summer months, so make the most of Spring by planning a big pub trip. It’s the perfect British Bank Holiday plan for a reason!
7. Get cleaning
I’ve already started clearing out my space by selling a few old clothes on Vinted. Some of my Summer clothes from last year don’t fit anymore, so it’s a great chance to make a bit of cash and help someone else create the perfect outfit!
Take your old bits and pieces to the charity shop or tidy up your space ready for the new season. This will put you in the right mentality for Springtime – and you can focus on creating a productive space that really works for you.
Do you have any activities you’d like to do before Summer? What is your favourite Spring activity? Are you ready for the warmer months?

A nature walk sounds really good! Nature is beautiful. I’m not sure about moving to a different place though. Moving is quite expensive 😅

Haha true, maybe just a holiday to a new place might be a little more budget-friendly!
