Just a quick post today. Recently I’ve been seeing #readmorewomen around social media. So, I thought I would do another Feminist Friday Recap, collecting some of my favourite review posts of books by female authors, from the past couple of months, to celebrate the joy of female writers, and their influential, interesting and fantastic literature.
Women authors are not always appreciated in society, and it’s important to promote their work as much as possible. Who knows, after reading these reviews, you might want to pick up a copy of some of these from your local library!

Love this feature! I’d really love to read more Adichie. I enjoyed Americanah and 15 Suggestions, so I’ll have to check out Purple Hibiscus. Great list!

I find that there are many enlightened men with great stuff to say lately and I don’t avoid reading them, but I am happy to spend my money on women writers when buying fiction.

Oh of course, reading more women doesn’t mean reading less men! It’s about making sure women have a place in our society and our literature

I read To Kill a Mockingbird in high school; it is still my defacto #1 favorite book of all time.
You should consider reading some of Alice Walker’s books as well: The Color Purple, Possessing the Secret of Joy and Temple of my Familiar are all beautiful and powerful books as well.
