5 Amazing Places to Visit in France

AD- This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.

As a language graduate, I would love to travel to France again one day, and there are so many amazing places to visit in this country.

Whether it’s a fun city break or a relaxing beach trip, there are so many gorgeous regions I want to visit in France one day.

It’s such a great country to visit for a little bit of everything- including history, a beautiful language and all the delicious food you could want!

In this blog post, I’ve put together a list of 5 amazing places to visit in France, including beautiful beaches and historic cities.

Marseilles

Marseilles is an amazing place to visit in France as it has a little bit of everything.

It’s right on the South coast so it has lovely weather and beautiful beaches, but it’s also a city so whether you’re interested in a city break or a beach visit, you can have the best of both worlds.

Marseilles always seems so glamorous, and I’d love to visit one day!

Cannes

Cannes is a town down on the French Riviera, and it is full of warm and sandy beaches.

I love all the incredible images from the Cannes Film Festival every year, and I would love to travel over to this famous town one day.

Paris

I love Paris! It’s such a lovely city for tourists, and full of cute places to visit.

Paris is the perfect city break, and it is full of cafés, restaurants, bridges and cobbled streets that are steeped in history. I loved Paris when I visited it a few years ago, and I really recommend it.

Home to many famous authors of the past, such as Ernest Hemingway and Simone de Beauvoir, I would love to go back to Paris one day soon.

Paris has so many lovely little places to stay, too!

There are lots of simple ways to make a booking for your holiday accommodation, including ebooking sites that put together any information about hotels in France.

These sites also allow you to make a reservation for a service via the Internet.

Normandy

Normandy is another historic place to visit in the North of France, and it is full of history about the wars that I find very interesting.

I’d love to check out a few of the Northern regions of France and see what amazing history and places to visit they have to offer.

Versailles

I would love to visit Versailles one day!

Just outside Paris, Versailles is home to the fantastic Palace of Versailles, and it looks like such a beautiful place to visit. Whether you’re interested in history, or just like the idea of visiting the architecture, I really recommend checking out Versailles.

What do you think of these places I want to visit in France? Have you ever visited France? Are there any amazing places you’d like to visit in France?

Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below 🙂

Happy reading x

      1. Not at all! It’s a big country and lists, by their nature, can change according to one’s mood etc. For instance, we get a lot of rain here and that could see us drop off lists haha. That said, it’s well worth visiting! 🙂

  1. Brittany is lovely! I used to work there and Normandy. They are such beautiful places. I love Paris but I haven’t been to the other parts! I should add them to my list x

  3. I love France. I’ve been enamoured with the country and the language since I was little and I find it a bit of a travesty that my only real experience of it is Disneyland Paris, one day trip to Versailles, and my Year Abroad in the town of Châteauroux. I want to be able to see the places my grandparents used to visit a lot around Normandy and Brittany, especially if they’re not particularly touristy areas. Saying that, I would like to spend a bit of time in Paris too rather than simply cross it in order to go somewhere else.

  4. I went to Paris for honeymoon 🙂 To agree with one of your other commenters, the people in Paris (at least the ones I met) were not friendly at all and also kept having souvenirs of the Eiffel Tower jingled in my face which was intimidating! In some respects it did seem like London. I went to the Louvre though and saw the Mona Lisa, did you?

  5. Normandy is fascinating and I definitely enjoyed it. Two other places in France I loved are Bordeaux/St. Emilion and Avignon. There are so many wonderful parts of France. My husband and I are planning to do a trip to the World War I sites one of these days. Thanks for the recommendations!

I’ve never been brilliant at speaking the language tho, maybe I need to learn again. Thank you so much for sharing Xo
