3+ Unique Post-Lockdown Party Ideas

AD – This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Here in the UK, we’re starting to see the gradual easing of lockdown rules, and we can finally invite a few people into our home for movie nights, parties or long-awaited visits.

Now that we can all start socialising a little more, it’s great to have a few post-lockdown party ideas up your sleeve for when you’re comfortable inviting your friends and family back into your home.

I don’t know about you, but the idea of getting together with friends (inside) seems like a distant memory.

I love the idea of doing something fun now that we are past lockdown and heading towards semi-normal social events.

In this blog post, I’ve come up with 4 unique post-lockdown party ideas.

Get Cooking

It might sound boring, but cooking is such a great way to enjoy an event and have a bit of fun with your friends.

Whether you want to cook a meal for your friends, or you fancy cooking together, it’s a great way to make your party a little more unique – and enjoy post-lockdown life!

Cooking or baking with friends lets you have fun, try a new skill and enjoy the delicious spoils of your cooking at the end of the party!

Try a Murder Mystery Party

If you’re looking for the ultimate post-lockdown party idea, I really recommend trying a Murder Mystery Party with your friends.

Play Murder Mystery offers easily downloadable Murder Mystery parties that you can play with your friends.

This is a great way to make your party into an exciting and unique event. Whether you want to celebrate via Zoom or in-person Play Murder Mystery can be accessed online or for your first post-lockdown party.

I love that Play Murder Mystery offers an extensive list of Murder Mystery themes and games for all ages, allowing party-goers to choose how much they want to get into the game – and the best choice for them.

There are themes such as romantic games, Hallowe’en, and even spoofs of your favourite TV shows and films.

You could choose to dress up in the theme of the party, or simply follow the mystery as you enjoy a bit of time with your friends.

If you fancy trying Play Murder Mystery for your next party, check out the site to find out more. All the games are easily downloadable and inexpensive – and the site comes with detailed instructions and testimonials if you need a bit more information!

Grab Your Favourite Book!

If you love reading, why not turn your post-lockdown party into a cute book club or book-themed event?

You can go as far as you want with this, choosing to read the same book as your friends – or even dressing up as your favourite literary character.

Hosting a party that’s related to the books you and your friends love is such a fun way to celebrate post-lockdown life!

It’s also a simple but unique party idea to ease yourself back into social life without putting too much pressure on yourself.

Make a Few Drinks

I don’t know why, but I love the idea of making a few drinks with friends to celebrate post-lockdown life!

This doesn’t have to involve alcohol, but making a few cocktails or mocktails is a great way to change up your party a bit.

Instead of just asking your friends to bring drinks with them, buy a few cocktail ingredients to mix together and make drinking into an activity at your fun post-lockdown party.

  1. You could do a book club online, given that some areas haven’t had their restrictions eased due to the new Covid19 mutation causing problems in those areas.

Given that most people have been stuck at home for most of the year, if you’re going to do a party or gathering with friends, you’ve got to do it outside, weather allowing. Like a huge picnic in the park or something

    1. Yes that’s very true, if people are still at home these are all hopefully useful ideas 🙂 in the UK we’re actually allowed indoor gatherings now, but I agree that outside parties are lovely too x

  5. All ideas are great and normally with friends we are doing more than only one activity – first, we drink some cocktails and talk, then we cook together and at the end of the evening, we play some games. This is my perfect party with friends! ♥

It’s certainly something I’ll need to do in the near future. They sound like a blast. I know my parents have done them in the past and they always loved them!

  9. A murder mystery party is a brilliant idea. A perfect way to celebrate the lifting of lockdown but honestly I don’t think you need a reason to have party like this. I can’t wait to download and give it a try with a few friends. How exciting.
