  1. This was such a great read and very hopeful for the future! Really can’t wait to visit my parents back home and get together with friends again! Not in a hurry to go back to work, I enjoy working from home personally. Really can’t wait though to get a chance to go to a gig or have a birthday dinner out! Thank you for sharing x

  2. There are tons of things that I’m looking forward to in the future, after this bloody nightmare is over! Although personally, not many of these things are on my list! I work from home all the time anyway, I don’t have any long distance relationships and I ever went to festivals and things beforehand anyway. I am looking forward to being able to go on staycations and visit my boyfriend’s parents in Lincolnshire again though! x

    1. That’s very fair, everyone has their own thing and everyone’s will be personal to them! I think they sound like some great things to look forward to- going on holiday will definitely be at the top of a lot of people’s lists for sure!

  3. I think 75% of my life will likely be the same when everything goes back to normal, but I guess I’ll be going out for dinner more often when my partner and I meet up. I’ll likely have a big meet up with some of my friends when it’s safe to do so to. Other than that, I’ll likely exist in this single room still

  4. I can’t wait to be able to travel again. I did an internship in Stockholm and been dying to get back there and reunite with the people who made that period even more amazing than it already was!

  5. This was such a great read and reminder of all the amazing things we have to look forward to. I used to go to a lot of gigs and live events before the Pandemic so I’m looking forward to getting back and supporting the live music scene again! Thanks for sharing!

  6. wow, this has put a smile on my face! I’m so looking forward to having some ‘normality’ back in my life again. I’m just looking forward to things opening back up, having the freedom to pop to the shops when I want and just being able to see friends and family again! This pandemic has really taught me some valuable lessons! Xo

  7. Thank you for the lovely, positive post! I am most looking forward to being able to socialize my 14-month old. She has grown up almost exclusively in the pandemic so I am really excited to introduce her to more family and friends and to let her have playdates with other little ones!

  8. Oh, I’m totally looking forward to all of these. I miss attending weddings, they were my most favourite events to attend. I miss making sudden plans to meet my friends the most. Although, the way you’ve written this doesn’t make me regret or reminisce sadly….just makes me feel optimistic 😃

  9. Aw, great last post, Eleanor! So true, I’m looking forward to spontaneous outings. Randomly, I would just ask whoever wanted to grab a hot chocolate with me or happy hour and those would be the most fun nights I have with my friends/family! Can’t wait to do this again. Thank you for sharing x

  11. I love working from home, and have been doing so for over 4 years now, however… there’s a difference between working from home because you choose to and working from home because you have no other choice. I miss the freedom to pack up and go work at a local cafe or something like that. I’m looking forward to the future where I can get out and support some of our local businesses while working in a different space… I love my home office, but I’m kinda over it lol

    1. Yes that’s very true, that’s the case with a lot of lockdown things- it’s not great to know you can’t go out, even if that is what you would normally choose 🙂 I agree, lack of freedom is the worst part about it all x

  12. I’m looking forward to all of those things you’ve mentioned. My second birthday in the pandemic is coming up next week. I’m a little bit bummed out about that. More than anything, I’m looking forward to the freedom to do anything I want (within reason). Cheers!

  13. The pandemic had me stay inside for too long. And I think it has done more to harm my social life. I am looking forward to go out and unwind with friends and family. It will take time for me to return to my normal life.

  14. Amongst the many things I’m looking forward to, spontaneous meet-ups are definitely high upon the list. I can’t wait to travel either, but the idea of just being able to see friends in person in sociable will be so refreshing

  15. Great post, Eleanor! Looking forward to doing so many things especially meeting my college friends and making plans. This is the last year of college and I really want to spend it in the most amazing ways by going to events, Concerts, and much more. Hoping for the best!
