I first heard about ‘Perfect Productivity’ by Emily Wyatt via Twitter – it’s so cool that she’s written her own ebook!

When Em reached out about a review opportunity, I was excited to find some helpful tips to improve my productivity.

My Review of ‘Perfect Productivity’ by Emily Wyatt

Em’s ebook is called ‘Perfect Productivity: How to Beat Procrastination, Master your To-Do List and Avoid Burnout.’

I definitely need help with all of those things so I was really excited to read Em’s chapters about productivity, her recommendations for the right apps to use and how to find the best resources.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and Em definitely gave me some fantastic ideas for staying productive and sticking to my schedule.

I’m at a stage now where I need to be a bit more savvy about how I use my time – and make sure I’m focusing on my blog as much as possible!

So Em’s ebook is brilliant for coming up with some strategies to improve my productivity in a way which will best benefit my blogging goals.

The Psychology of Procrastination

I also love that Em provided the “psychology” of procrastination right at the start of the book, as it shows that procrastination is more about indecision than laziness – and that certainly made me feel better about my constant procrastinating.

Em provides tactics to get better at handling this procrastination, and I loved her strategy to sort out which tasks are worth starting with – and how to make sure you know everything you need to do, and what should be a “priority” task.

She broke down the strategies really well, and I think this was one of my favourite parts of the book – I now have fantastic strategies to follow every day if I need them!

Resources and Templates

I think the resources in Em’s book are fantastic, and she provides schedule sheets and templates – as well as a sleeping schedule to keep on top of burn-out.

This is something Em comes back to throughout her book. It is important to be productive, but it is equally important to look after your health.

Reading this book, it’s clear Em really knows her stuff. As well as being a productive (and busy) person, Em has also put in the research to back up her claims. For me, she is very relatable as another 20-something blogger and graduate.

If you’d like to check out this ebook, you can find it over on Em’s Gumroad page.

Have you read Em’s ebook? What are your strategies for staying productive? Do you have any steps to avoid procrastination?

  1. Your review is lovely. I’m so glad you enjoyed this book! For me, I am pretty much blogging full-time and I like to work from about 9 am – 2 pm, take a break and just do social media engagement then once I’m all done cleaning and dinner, I’ll work for a few more hours until I’m off to bed! I’m not productive if I’m working a 9-5. I need an in-between refresher 🙂 Thanks for sharing x

  5. I think I need this in my life, I think I could learn a lot from it. And the indecision bit makes so much sense to me, it’s always the days I struggle to prioritise that I achieve the least even if I have a bigger to-do list on other days x

  6. I really recommend it 🙂 I find it really hard to stay productive too, and I think the main thing I’ve implemented from this book is how to improve habits and actually understand how and why I am procrastinating, and what it means. I love how Em makes it clear you’re not lazy just because you’re procrastinating. Hope you check it out and good luck!
